There are many of you who ask us how to get to Tui to begin the Portuguese Way, because although we are fantastically connected, we have many options to get there. So it is quite a challenge to find the right way to travel depending on where you are starting your trip from.

In order to facilitate your decisions when planning your trip, we have compiled connection information according to the main destinations and means of transport that connect Tui.

Keep in mind that some schedules and connections can be modified so don’t trust us 100% and ensure the information in the links and contact!

· If you come via Madrid!

The best option is to travel by train via Madrid www.renfe.es with a 38-minute transfer in Ourense to Guillarei, a train station that is just 2.8 km from our hostel, you can even come walking for about 35 minutes!

If you prefer you can take a taxi which is a 5 minute ride!

· From Vigo airport!

The quickest option is to take a taxi since the airport is 25 km away! ADVICE! Share your need in our Facebook forum to share transfer or taxi. Another cheaper option is to opt for public transportation!

VIGO AIRPORT- VIGO BUS STATION. Bus: Line A: University – Airport you can see the schedules with a stop in Urzaiz to go to the Vigo Bus Station.

· From Santiago!

ATTENTION!! If you want to take a train from Santiago remember that it takes you to Vigo Station. Price €9.55-€11.50 / Every hour

👉 The most direct thing is to take a bus from the Santiago-Pontevedra-Tui bus station with MONBUS. Approximate price €4.65 respectively / Santiago-Pontevedra every hour all week and Pontevedra-Tui 12:15 p.m.-7:00 p.m. per week (we recommend stopping at Rúa Ourense which is more central).

Another option is to take a bus from Santiago station to Vigo and from there to Tui https://lugove.gal/saidas-vigo-a-guarda/

ALSA: It has a direct service from the Santiago bus station to Valença do Minho, which is the Portuguese city with which we are Eurocity, it is a 20-minute walk away. Approximate price because they play with offers €30 / 09:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 6:00 p.m. If you buy the ticket on the website you must enter Valença do Minho destination. But ask the driver to stop you at Tui, if there are many of us he may as well and if not just ask!!!

· From Porto!

We have very good communication with the city and the airport.

ALSA: Bus: Porto-Valença do Minho Airport with ALSA. Approximate price €30 / 11:00 a.m., 2:45 p.m., 5:00 p.m. all week.

The Autna company works phenomenally and offers service from Porto to Valença.

Train Porto-Campanha or Sao Bento-Valença by train. We recognize that we love this train journey! Approximate price between €11 and €18.45/ various times throughout the day. You can consult them at www.cp.pt

Once in Valença, make your first leg from Portugal and walk following the arrows on the road, following these tracks you arrive at the door of our hostel. If you arrive late or are too tired, don’t worry, ask for a taxi!
